Joaquin Monreal-Perez (BA in Economics and Law, Madrid University; Masters in Foreign Trade, ICEX/CECO; PhD in Business Sciences, University of Murcia) joined the University of Murcia's Department of Management and Finances where he is also a member of the Family Business and Business Direction and Management Research Groups. He is also a Research Affiliate at Germany's Institute for the World Economy (IFW). He teaches in subjects at the graduate and post-graduate level.Internationally, he has spoken on the economics of the Spanish Economy and presented his research at international conferences e.g. EIBA and IFERA. His research focuses on firm internationalisation, innovation and the management of family businesses publishing inter alia in International Business Review and Economics Letters as well as more specialised Spanish journals (e.g. Esic Market or REDEE).
