John W. Budd is the Industrial Relations Land Grant Chair at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. His main research interests are in industrial relations and labour economics. Budd is the author of Employment with a Human Face: Balancing Efficiency, Equity, and Voice (Cornell University Press) and Labor Relations: Striking a Balance (McGraw-Hill/Irwin). His latest book, Invisible Hands, Invisible Objectives: Bringing Workplace Law and Public Policy Into Focus with Stephen Befort, will be published in 2009 by Stanford University Press.
