José-Luis Cruz is a Research Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His research focuses on the local economic consequences of global warming, the efficiency of environmental policies and the implications of clean energy transition through the lens of spatial dynamic models, accounting for several adaptation mechanisms and pursuing a fine level of geographical and industrial resolution. Prior to joining the New York Fed, Cruz was a S.V. Ciriacy-Wantrup Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. He received his Ph.D. from Princeton University.
