Jose-Luis Cruz is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Economics at Princeton University. His research interests include international trade, economic geography and climate change. Recent work has examined the effect of changes in temperature on amenities and productivities, the role of trade, migration and innovation in mediating warming damages and the efficiency of different environmental policies.A citizen of Mexico, Cruz received his BA and MA in Economics from ITAM. His research has been awarded with the Avinash K. Dixit Prize in International Economics by Princeton University, the 2015 Banamex Economics Contest, the XXVII National Tlacaélel Contest of Economic Consulting, and the XI exITAM Research Contest.
