Justin Pierce is a Principal Economist at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C. His research focuses on the implications of changes in international trade policy for individuals, firms, and regions. His recent work examines the effects of the 2018-2019 tariff actions and trade liberalization with China on the U.S. manufacturing sector. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Georgetown University.
