Kirstin Hubrich is a Principal Economist in the Research and Statistics Division at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. She has been a Senior Economist at the research department of the European Central Bank (ECB) prior to that appointment. She received her Ph.D. from Humboldt University Berlin, where she was also Research Associate at the National Research Center ‘Quantification and Simulation of Economic Processes’. She has held positions as research fellow and economist at the Dutch Central Bank prior to joining the research department of the ECB. She has published in leading international journals, including the Journal of Business and Economics Statistics, the Journal of Econometrics and the Journal of Monetary Economics. She served as guest editor for the Journal of Applied Econometrics. She has been a member of the Scientific Committee of the Euro Area Business Cycle Network (EABCN) from 2005-2009 and has co-organised numerous academic conferences.
