Laura Parisi

Financial Stability Expert, Directorate General Macroprudential Policy and Financial Stability at European Central Bank

Laura Parisi is financial stability expert at the Directorate General for Macroprudential Policy and Financial Stability of the European Central Bank. She mainly focuses on regulatory issues and empirical research projects related to the completion of the Banking Union and the assessment of regulatory reforms in the banking sector. Prior to joining the ECB, she obtained a bachelor and a master degree in Theoretical Physics, and a PhD in Finance at the University of Pavia, where she also worked as post-doc fellow: in 2016 she was visiting PhD student at the NYU Stern School of Business. She has published in academic journals, mainly on topics related to systemic risk.
