Laurent is a Research Scholar at NYU Abu Dhabi and a Research Associate at the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA) at the Australian National University. His main areas of research include forecasting, financial risk, international macroeconomics, and Global Value Chains. Laurent received his PhD in International Economics from the Geneva Graduate Institute and the University of Geneva. He visits regularly policy institutions such as the National Bank of Belgium. He has held positions at the University of Sydney Business School, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
