Laurent Pauwels

Laurent is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney Business School and a Research Associate at the Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA) at the Australian National University. His main areas of research include forecasting, model combinations and international macroeconomics. He visits regularly the National Bank of Belgium and New York University Abu Dhabi. Laurent received his PhD in International Economics from the Graduate Institute, Geneva. During his doctoral studies, he held positions at the European Central Bank (ECB) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). Before joining the University of Sydney, he worked as an Economist in the research department of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).
