Mahvash Saeed Qureshi is Deputy Chief of the Systemic Issues Division in the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund. Her research interests include international capital flows, capital controls, exchange rate regimes, financial crises, and international trade and development. She has published widely in scholarly journals, and has authored/edited several books including Taming the Tide of Capital Flows: A Policy Guide; From Great Depression to Great Recession: The Elusive Quest for International Policy Cooperation; and Capital Controls. She obtained her MPhil and PhD from the University of Cambridge (Trinity College).
