Marco Compagnoni

PhD candidate at University of Trento

Marco Compagnoni is a PhD candidate in "Sustainability: Economics, Management, Environment, Society" at the University of Trento (Italy). He was visiting PhD student at BETA, Strasbourg (France). He worked at Area Science Park, a research centre and science and technology park in Trieste, within the Circular Economy unit. He holds master degrees in Economics from the University of Pavia (Italy) and Tuebingen (Germany). Marco works on environmental issues related to technological and energy transitions, with a focus on the use of mineral resources (critical raw materials). Some of the topics he has worked on are: Extended Producer Responsibility; waste trade; innovation in the recycling sector; the relationship between technological transitions and natural resource use. His research is mainly directed towards the empirical evaluation of environmental policies.
