Head of the International Finance and Commodity Markets Division at Bank of Italy

Marco Taboga is a financial economist currently serving in the Economics, Statistics, and Research Department of Banca d’Italia, where he has held various management roles. His published research covers a range of topics, including portfolio selection, asset pricing, machine learning, and financial intermediation. Passionate about coding and mathematics, Taboga has authored two textbooks, on mathematical statistics and matrix algebra. He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics.
