Maria Balgova

Postdoc, PhD candidate at University Of Oxford

Maria Balgova is a PhD candidate at the University of Oxford. She is a Slovak Republic national and holds an MPhil in Economics from Oxford University and an undergraduate degree from Cambridge University. The aim of her doctoral thesis is to understand spatial disparity in labour markets within developed countries. Her other research interests include income inequality and unemployment. She worked on the 2015-16 Transition Report at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and in the Financial Times as the Peter Martin Fellow.
