Marieke Kleemans is an applied microeconomist with research interests in development economics and labor economics working on issues related to migration. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California Berkeley.
