Mark Thissen is an economist working at PBL Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency on different on economic models explaining regional economic development. He specialised in regional Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) and Input-Output modelling. Recently, he worked on regional competitiveness and Smart Specialisation in the context of regional revealed competition. At present he is involved in several projects for the Dutch government and international organisations.
