Martin Guzman is an Associate Research Scholar at Columbia Business School and an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Buenos Aires. He co-chairs Columbia University Initiative for Policy Dialogue's Taskforce on Debt Restructuring and Sovereign Bankruptcy. He is also a member of the Institute for New Economic ThinkingResearch Group on “Macroeconomic Efficiency and Stability” based at Columbia University,a non-resident Senior Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation(Canada), and a non-resident Senior Fellow at Espacios Abiertosand the Center for a New Economyof Puerto Rico. He is the editor in chief of the Journal of Globalization and Development. His research fields are Macroeconomics and Economic Development, with a focus in the study of the resolution of sovereign debt crises. He has published extensively in leading academic journals and books and his research has been prominently featured by the international media. He holds a PhD in Economics from Brown University.
