Matteo Gatti

Economist at European Investment Bank

Matteo Gatti is an Economist in the Economics Department of the European Investment Bank (EIB). His work focuses on providing policy support to the EIB’s lending activities by assessing the Bank’s impact on the real economy. As an applied economist, his main areas of expertise lie in the field of corporate finance, financial intermediation and macroeconomics. Prior to joining the EIB, Matteo worked as an Economist for NERA Economic Consulting in London, where he advised public sector clients on energy and transport-related issues. He holds a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence as well as an MSc and BA from Bocconi University.
