Matthew Knepper

Matt Knepper is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He was previously a research economist for the Bureau of Economic Analysis. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego in 2015 and his B.A. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2009. Knepperā€™s research interests include labor economics, health economics, and applied microeconomics. His research focuses on a broad range of policy-relevant empirical work, such as the compensation effects of labor unions, labor market discrimination, judicial gender biases, and the effects of insurance coverage on healthcare utilization. His articles have appeared in the Review of Economics & Statistics, the Journal of Labor Economics, and Health Services Research.
