Michela Nardo

Michela Nardo, PhD in Economics, joined the European Commission in 2003. She is currently Deputy Head of unit at the Joint Research Centre in the Unit of Economic and Financial resilience. Her expertise includes statistical analysis and modelling. She has been working since many years on the analysis of international financial flows and on global value chains. She has extensive experience in firm-level data and in the reconstruction of the ownership structure of multinational enterprises. With her team, she is engaged in the analysis of foreign direct investments starting from firm level data and in the mapping of selected global value chains to support policy decisions.
