Michelle Marcus is an Assistant Professor in the Economics Department at Vanderbilt University. She is a Faculty Affiliate of Vanderbilt’s Center for Research on Inequality and Health and Vanderbilt's Climate, Energy, and Environment Forum. Michelle is also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. She received her Ph.D. in Economics in 2017 from Brown University.
Michelle is an applied microeconomist whose research broadly focuses on determinants of child health and well-being, with a particular focus on environmental exposures and the effectiveness of regulation. Her research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the Review of Economics and Statistics, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Health Economics, and Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists.
