Pierluigi Bologna

Senior Advisor, Financial Stability Directorate at Bank Of Italy

Pierluigi Bologna is a Senior Advisor in the Financial Stability Directorate of the DG for Economics, Statistics and Research of the Bank of Italy. He is currently the Deputy Head of the Financial Stability Analysis and Coordination Division. Previously he was a Senior Economist in the Financial Stability Directorate and in the Regulation and Macroprudential Analysis Directorate of the Bank of Italy, an Adviser in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the International Monetary Fund, a Financial Attaché at the Italian embassy in the United States, and an Analyst in the Banking Supervision Department of the Bank of Italy. His current research interests are on banking, macroprudential policy and financial stability. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics of Financial Markets and Intermediaries from University of Siena, a M.Sc. in Investment Management from Cass Business School and a B.Sc. in Economics from University of L’Aquila.
