Xu is an assistant professor in Finance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her research interests lie at the intersection of public policy and empirical corporate Finance, with a particular focus on firm environmental and tax policies. Prior to joining the University of Illinois, Xu served as an assistant professor of Finance at the University of Notre Dame. She obtained her Ph.D. and MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
