I am Quoc-Anh Do, associate professor of economics at the Department of Economics, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. I am known to many friends and colleagues as “Q.A.”, a nickname originating from the initials of my given name. I have previously worked at Northwestern University, Sciences Po, and Singapore Management University after obtaining my PhD in 2008 from Harvard University. My research interests span over several applied microeconomic topics, especially in political economics, economics of social networks, cultural economics, development economics, and economic history.
