Regina Pleninger

Regina Pleninger is an Economist in the Equitable Growth, Finance, and Institutions Vice Presidency at the World Bank and a Research Fellow at the Swiss Economic Institute (KOF) of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich. Regina’s research interests include topics on income and wealth inequality, panel data econometrics, digitalization, and natural disasters. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich, where she also obtained her PhD on the determinants of income inequality. She was a Visiting Scholar at Princeton University in 2018. Her work has been published in World Development and the World Economy, among others.
