Roberta Dessi is Associate Professor of Economics at TSE (Toulouse School of Economics) and leads an interdisciplinary IAST Research Team (Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse). One strand of her research studies beliefs and motivation (including motivated beliefs, image concerns, memory biases) and their implications for economic behaviour. A second strand studies firms, finance and incentives, with a particular interest in start-up firms, innovation, and venture capital. Her research has been published in journals including the American Economic Review, the RAND Journal of Economics, and the Economic Journal.
