Sam Jones is a Research Fellow at UNU-WIDER based in Mozambique, on leave from his position as an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, University of Copenhagen. He is a versatile economist with expertise in development finance (including foreign aid), microeconomic empirical methods, education and labour markets. He has worked with the government of Mozambique for over 10 years in their economic studies and macroeconomic analysis division; he also works in close collaboration with the Faculty of Economics at the Universidade Eduardo Mondlane in Maputo
