Sara McGaughey

Professor of International Business at Griffith University

Sara McGaughey is Professor of International Business at Griffith University, Australia.  Her Ph.D. was awarded by the University of Queensland, and she holds an MBA and B.A. from Monash University, Australia.  Prior to joining Griffith Business School in 2012, Sara was a Professor and Director of Strathclyde International Business Unit (SIBU) at Strathclyde University (Glasgow, UK).  She has held academic positions at University of Leeds (UK), Copenhagen Business School (Denmark), and University of New South Wales (Australia), and currently serves as Chapter Chair of the Academy of International Business – Oceania.   Her research in International Business is at the intersection of international strategy and entrepreneurship, and explores several themes related to knowledge and innovation, MNE subsidiary relations and FDI, international new venturing, and institutional entrepreneurship.  Sara’s work has been published in journals such as Academy of Management Review, Journal of World Business, and Journal of Management Studies.
