Sarra Ben Yahmed

Sarra Ben Yahmed is an advanced researcher at the  ZEW - Leibniz Centre of European Economic Research in Mannheim. Previously, she lectured at the Department of Economics of Sciences Po Paris, she visited the Department of Economics at the University of Oxford, and also the OECD. She holds a Ph.D. from Aix-Marseille University and received the Doctoral Thesis Prize from this institution in 2013. She holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Paris 1 - Paris School of Economics. Her research covers the fields of international trade, labour economics, and development economics. Combining both empirical and theoretical analysis, she has explored different mechanisms through which international trade affects gender wage inequality. She has also addressed questions related to gender differences in labour outcomes, informal employment, and firm productivity.
