Scott Baier

Scott Baier is Professor and Department Chair of the John E. Walker Department of Economics at Clemson University.  His areas of research include international trade and economic growth. From 2007-2008 he served on the President’s Council of Economic Advisers. He was a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. More recently he has worked with the United States International Trade Commission and the Congressional Budget Office.  Prior to arriving at Clemson, he was an Assistant Professor at the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame.
