Shuhei Nishitateno

Shuhei Nishitateno is an Assistant Professor at the Department of International Policy, School of Public Studies, Kwansei Gakuin University. Prior to his current position, he was a Deputy Manager at the Industrial Structure Policy Division, Economic and Industrial Policy Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (2013-2014) and a Research Fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University (2011-2012). He received his Ph.D. from the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics, Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University in 2011. He is a Faculty Fellow at the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI). His research interests focus on international economics, transport economics, and the Japanese economy. His research has been published in various academic journals including Economic Inquiry, Japanese Economic Review, and Journal of Transport Geography. He has also presented in numerous conferences, symposiums, and workshops throughout Japan and the Asia Pacific region. He is a member of the Japanese Economic Association and the Economic Society of Australia.
