Stefano Siviero

Head of the Economic Outlook and Monetary Policy Directorate at Bank Of Italy

Stefano Siviero is Head of the Economic Outlook and Monetary Policy Directorate of the Bank of Italy, and the Bank's representative on the ESCB's Monetary Policy Committee. He joined the Bank in 1989, initially contributing to the development of the quarterly econometric model and the production of macroeconomic forecasts. Between 2007 and 2013 he was Head of the Modelling and Forecasting Division. His research has focused on issues mostly relating to macroeconomic modelling and optimal monetary policy. He obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995.
