Stéphanie Riso

Stéphanie Riso has been with the European Commission since 2000. She is an economist, specialised in macroeconomics. Her main fields of expertise are fiscal and monetary policies, as well as the EU budget. Before taking her current position as (acting) principal adviser to Michel Barnier, Chief negotiator for the Task Force Art. 50, she was Head of the Unit in charge of the Multi-annual Financial Framework and, before that, Head of the Unit in charge of fiscal policy and fiscal surveillance.
