Stephen Paduano

Stephen Paduano is the Executive Director of the LSE Global Economic Governance Commission and a PhD candidate at the London School of Economics. He teaches international political economy and development at LSE and Sciences Po, and his academic research concerns Chinese investment and development policy in sub-Saharan Africa. He previously served on the Economic Policy Committee (trade subcommittee) of the Joe Biden for President 2020 campaign and on the Hillary for America 2016 campaign. He has written for The Atlantic, The Economist, The Financial Times, Foreign Policy, and The Washington Post, among others. Prior to his PhD studies, Stephen received an MSc with Distinction from the London School of Economics and a BA with Honors from Stanford University.
