Sven Jari Stehn is an Economist at the International Monetary Fund. He is currently working on Germany and the Euro area in the European Department, after having spent two years in the Fiscal Affairs Department. His research interests include various aspects of monetary and fiscal policy, such as optimal stabilisation policy, strategic interactions and institutional design. He obtained his PhD in Economics from Oxford University.
