Tamarah Shakir

Adviser in the Financial Policy Committee Secretariat at Bank Of England, Deputy Head of the Systemic Risks and Financial Institutions Division at European Central Bank

Tamarah Shakir is an Adviser in the Financial Policy Committee Secretariat at the Bank of England. She joined the Bank in 2002, having studied economics at the University of Cambridge and University of London. Tamarah has previously also worked in the Monetary Analysis and Markets areas during her time at Bank. She was also seconded to the British Embassy in Washington DC between 2006 and 2008. Her research interests include international and open economy macroeconomics.
