Thomas J. Holmes is the Curtis Carlson Professor of Economics at the University of Minnesota. He is a Consultant at the Federal Reserve of Minneapolis and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He received is B.S. in economics and mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania, and his Ph.D. in economics from Northwestern University. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and the Vice President of the Urban Economics Association. His work focuses on firms and industries, particularly in regional or international contexts.
