Discussion paper
Thomas Pearson is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Syracuse University. His research interests are in labor, development, and political economy. His recent projects explore how U.S. immigration policy impacts immigrants in the U.S. and locals in migrant-sending countries as well as the institutional, ideological, and political effects of domestic migration in the U.S. in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Pearson earned his doctorate in economics from Boston University in 2022.
