Toon Vandyck is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics of the KU Leuven. His research primarily deals with the economics of climate change and clean air (policies), including distributional and health impacts. In his previous position at the OECD's Environment Directorate, he has led the Modelling and Outlooks team and contributed to flagship projects and reports such as the OECD Environmental Outlook. Before that, he has provided quantitative, model-based support to EU climate and clean air policies, including the Fit-for-55 package of the EU Green Deal, in his position at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. He holds a PhD in economics from the KULeuven university in Belgium.
