Victoria Gierok

Victoria Gierok is a British Academy Post-Doctoral Fellow at Nuffield College and the Economics Department. Her research investigates long-run economic inequality, poverty and taxation in the German territories of the Holy Roman Empire, ca. 1300-1800. Her work has been published in the Journal of Economic History and Explorations in Economic History. ​Her research is supported by the British Academy. She hold a PhD from the University of Oxford and an MSc in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
