Will Olney is an associate professor of economics at Williams College. His research focuses on the causes and consequences of globalization. Recent work has examined how global forces such as trade, immigration, foreign direct investment, offshoring, and remittances affect domestic labor market conditions such as wages, employment, education, and executive compensation. He received a BA from Wesleyan University, a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado, and has held positions at the Federal Reserve Bank, UC Santa Cruz, and University of Pompeu Fabra
