Xenia Matschke

Full Professor of Economics and Chair in International Economic Policy at Trier University of Applied Sciences

Xenia Matschke is a Full Professor of Economics, Chair in International Economic Policy, at Trier University. She received her Ph.D. in Economics in 2003 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and then worked for a year as an Assistant Professor at the University of California-Santa Cruz before accepting an Assistant Professorship at the University of Connecticut, where she was promoted to Associate Professor in 2009. In 2010, she accepted a Full Professorship at Trier University in her native Germany. Her work has been published in highly regarded journals such as American Economic Review and Journal of International Economics and covers various areas of economics with a particular emphasis on the political economy of trade policy.
