Yuan Hsiao

Yuan Hsiao is a doctoral candidate in Sociology and a Master's student in Statistics at the University of Washington. His major work explores the intersection of social media, social networks, and political behavior. He is particularly interested in processes of network diffusion of social behavior such as religious participation, protest attendance, or aggressive behavior. He also serves as a statistician that applies quantitative methods in different fields. His work has been published in American Sociological Review, Political Communication, Social Networks, New Media & Society, Information, Communication & Society, among other outlets.
