Zakaria Sorgho

Zakaria Sorgho is a Global economist. He is based at the Laval University in Canada, where he is a researcher and lecturer on trade policy, trade-related environment and development issues. Dr. Sorgho is affiliated as Associate Researcher at the Centre for Research on the Economics of Environment, Agri-food, Transport and Energy (CREATE, Canada), Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Studies and Research on International Development (FERDI, France), and Senior Fellow at the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET-Africa, Ghana). He is a co-founder of the African Centre for International Trade and Development (ACITD) based in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). His research generally tackles macroeconomic topics, in particular the analysis or assessment of policy related to trade, regional integration, value chains, environment, and development.
