Hosted by the Study Center Gerzensee (Foundation of the Swiss National Bank)
On behalf of the Organising Committee, we invite you to apply to the first CEPR Climate Change and the Environment Symposium (CCES). This symposium follows the format of the European Summer Symposia in Economics and Finance held every year at Gerzensee since 1992. It aims to be the main week-long annual get-together for the growing community of scholars in Economics and Finance working on issues relating to climate change and nature preservation. The Symposium is organised by CEPR jointly with the Study Center Gerzensee, a foundation of the Swiss National Bank. The week is built around two themes, one on climate economics and the other on climate finance.
The meeting will include daily seminars in the morning, in which participants present their work, as well as less formal evening seminars scheduled at the beginning of the Symposium. A substantial amount of time is reserved for independent work and collaborative research, which provides participants with a unique opportunity to interact and discuss each other's research. To foster the desired interaction, we ask participants to attend the full week of the Symposium.
