The Centre for Research in International Economics (CREI) and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) will be organising a workshop on Heterogeneity and Economic Fluctuations: Recent Developments to be held at the Ciutadella Campus of Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, on May 21-22, 2024. This workshop will provide an opportunity for researchers to discuss a wide range of theoretical and empirical issues on the subject, including:
  • Monetary and fiscal policy design
  • Tractable models
  • Distributional effects of policy interventions
  • Estimated medium-scale models
  • Firm vs. household heterogeneity
  • Solution methods
José Víctor Ríos-Rull (University of Pennsylvania and CEPR) will be the keynote speaker.

The conference will cover the travel (coach) and accommodation expenses for the author presenting the research as well as discussants, according to CREI’s guidelines.

The workshop will be supported by CREI, through the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program (Grant 882332-HEMPEF).
