
Álvaro is an Economist in the Research Department's International Economy Unit. He graduated in Economics from the University of Sussex and earned a Master in International Trade, Finance and Development at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. Before joining CaixaBank, he worked as a Junior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington DC, as a Research Assistant in Bruegel and also in CaixaBank Research. His areas of study include the European Monetary Union, sovereign risk and economic growth.
