Andres Drenik

Assistant Professor at Columbia University

Andres Drenik is an Assistant Professor at Columbia University. Before joining Columbia University, he received a B.A. in Economics from Universidad de San Andrés, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University. His research is concentrated in international finance and macroeconomics. He is currently working on projects about pricing in foreign currency in emerging economies, the interaction between the currency choice of private domestic contracts and optimal monetary policy, as well as the redistributive effects of exchange rate policy. His research also focuses on the consequences of information frictions and market concentration on the misallocation of production resources.
