Ariell Zimran is Assistant Professor of Economics at Vanderbilt University and Faculty Research Fellow of the NBER’s Development of the American Economy Program. He earned a bachelor’s degree in International Economics from Georgetown University, and a PhD in Economics from Northwestern University. Ariell is an economic historian whose research focuses on health in the nineteenth-century US and on the Age of Mass Migration.
