William J. Collins

Terence E. Adderley Jr. Professor of Economics at Vanderbilt University

William J. Collins is the Terence E. Adderley Jr. Professor of Economics at Vanderbilt University and a Research Associate of the NBER s Development of the American Economy Program. He is an economic historian whose research concentrates on US labor markets and cities. His work has studied migration, racial disparities in earnings and educational attainment, and urban renewal programs. He is a co-editor of the Journal of Economic History. In the past he has been a Fellow at the Brookings Institution and Senior Economist for the Council of Economic Advisers.
