Avery Calkins

Doctoral candidate, Department of Economics at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor

Avery Calkins is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Economics and a pre-doctoral trainee in the Population Studies Center at the University of Michigan. She is trained in labor economics, economic history, and economic demography. Her research focuses on gender and education, particularly education in STEM fields. She earned her BS in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2014 and her MA in Economics from the University of Michigan in 2017.
