Karen Clay is a Professor of Economics and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University's H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management and a Research Associate at the NBER. Her recent work examines the effects of pollution and climate change on health and the effects of resources on economic outcomes over the twentieth century in the United States. Her work has been published in top economics journals including the Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economics and Statistics, and American Economic Review Papers and Proceedings. Dr. Clay received a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University in 1994.
