Balazs Murakozy graduated at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences at 2002. He continued his studies at the Central European University, receiving an MA and a PhD in Economics. He has been working at the Institute of Economics since 2006. His main research interests are the behaviour of firms, internationalisation and regulation. He regularly participates in consulting related to his fields of interest. He has teaching experience in microeconomics, innovation and applied econometrics. He also has a regular column on economic and policy questions in the Magyar Narancs, a Hungarian weekly.
